Sensory Play

I bet the first thing you think of when you hear sensory play is mess and more mess. But sensory play is more than just children getting their hands dirty in messy gloop. Although playing around with dough and gloop is a very good way of having fun. See the gloop and slime recipes page to make your own.

Why is sensory play so important?

Sensory play is a way of learning about the world through our senses. It is not something that should be confined to our very young children. We all need to develop our senses and our understanding of the world around us. All of us use our senses everyday to process information from all around us. Sensory play is about Science, Maths, Geography, Arts and so much more.
