Pleased to say that things are getting slightly better here. We are a bit more structured now on four days a week and one day is for catch up and days out.
Do you have any planning sheets I could use?
We find it easier if Branden works out his own timetable over the weekend. He knows he has to add literacy and numeracy Monday to Thursday. Friday is generally catch up day or trips out. It works well because he feels in control
I find its best to get a lot of the stuff done in the morning. That's when he's less tired. He's getting into a good routine now.
We do 5 spellings a day, then reading, mathletics, use Collins easy learning workbooks for problem solving and reasoning or grammar and punctuation, then topic work which we doing plants at mo, we go for walk or bike ride each day weather permitting, we do 3 hours a morning then afternoons we vary with playing games, going to a park, swimming, trampoline, baking, general play, mornings have be routine (asd) and after 6 weeks of home ed we are really finding what works and what don’t best off all I have a very happy and calmer boy again who wants to learn
We do literacy and maths in the morning. Literacy starts with reading eggs then we do a little work in book depending on what writing we are doing that week. It could be letter writing or reports etc. Then we do mathseeds then so work in maths book. At the moment we are looking at adding and taking away After that we do some life skills. Making bed - tidying up etc and he helps me make lunch. In the after noon it might be topic or a bit of science or even messy art and crafts.
